Ten Ideas

with Ryan Williams and Taylor Moore

Episode 87: Ghaggots

Pat O’brien and Ben Wietmarschen are our guests this week and we got a corker. A real corker. What is this, a podcast or the mouth of a bottle of champagne, because all I see is a bunch of corks! JK, unless if by corks you mean a bunch of corn stealin’ ghaggots. We’re swimmin in those.

You can see Ben and Pat in their spectacular stage show Baseball Is America at the UCB Theater in New York on September 22nd at 8pm, click here for tickets.

Hey! If you like Ten Ideas you‘re gonna love Spooktacular Sounds for a Halloween Party. It’s a handmade album of spooky sound effects that Taylor is making. Get yours here!

I was very honored to take a seat at the Ten Ideas table with my good pals Taylor Moore, Ryan Williams and Ben Wietmarschen. There’s coarse language, talk of corn, and a horrible new slur for ghosts.

'The Horndogs of Art History: PAUL GAUGUIN'
It turns out that renowned French painter Paul Gauguin was one of the biggest horndogs in art history. Tour our virtual gallery to see the original, extremely horny titles of his works (and try not to pop a stiffy).

The Mannings Take Manhattan: Peyton & Eli’s Big Apple Adventure
Native New Yorker Eli Manning shows his brother Peyton the sights while he’s in town for the big game.

Get geared up for the Super Bowl with cardboard New Yorker, Eli Manning’s tour of NYC. This was a really fun goof collab between me and my pal Zack Poitras and the FoDNY gang.

"Your Days Of" from Legs For Days’ November show at UCB.

I did 45 seconds of this bit in my Maude audition years ago, and had always wanted to blow it out into a full sketch. Jared Neumark took the script and ran with it beautifully, and Benjamin Apple directed it.

Holy crap this is funny. #chamberlain

Please enjoy your Thanksgiving and also please enjoy our Men’s Thanksgiving, a short movie I made with my friends Ben Wietmarschen, George Kareman and Tom Levin. It’s about men who are strangers to one another but they’re having Thanksgiving together for some reason.

After being distributed pretty much just for the iPad, Funny or Die is taking it’s digital magazine The Occasional into the more appropriate digital space of the whole Internet.

If you haven’t had an iPad to see what they’re up to, the Occasional has had some really great features and spreads that deserve to be reblogged/RT’d/whatever the verb for Pinterest is.

Thanks, Comedy Bureau!
